Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales are looking to strengthen their regional land team with the appointment of a Land Graduate. The role provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of an ever growing and successful privately owned business.

 

Identifying and acquiring land is key to the success of the business and the role provides an exciting position which will no doubt prove attractive to many people looking to start their careers within the land and development sector.

 

As our Land Graduate you will identify and assess potential development opportunities. Working alongside the Land Director you will be given the opportunity to meet to landowners, funders, objectors, politicians, property professionals and Local Authorities as development opportunities are progressed.

 

You will gain experience in land identification and acquisition which will entail; commissioning layouts, financial analysis, reviewing planning policies and local plans, agreeing purchase contracts as well as a host of other aspects which will provide a real breadth of knowledge and transferable skills.

 

You will form part of a team with experienced professionals who will work alongside and support you to ensure your career continues to develop.  The opportunity will exist to undertake further training to support and supplement your academic journey to date. We will also support the pursuit of professional accreditation such as RICS / RTPI / CIOB.

 

**Hours:                 **8.30am – 5.15pm (Mon- Thurs)

8.30am – 4.00pm (Fri)

Report to: Land Director

Location: Ewloe, North Wales

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

*             Identification of residential development opportunities through various methods;

*             Support to wider land team in preparation of offers and site analysis;

*             Continued understanding of the housing market;

*             Monitoring planning policies at regional and national level;

*             Carrying out financial cashflows as opportunities progress;

*             Commitment to growing network of contacts across the region;

 

The Land Graduate will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

 

Essential:

 

*         Strong mathematical skills;

*         Can demonstrate a keen interest for the industry;

*         Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;

*         Strong interpersonal skills - in particular; listening, effective speaking, influencing and    negotiation;

*         Ability to build good relationships with industry stakeholders and peers;

*         Confident and competent with financial numbers and scenario modelling;

*         Ability to develop good working relationships;

*         Ability to work independently;

*         Ability to follow instructions;

*         Adaptable / flexible;

*         Problem solving;

*         Accountability;

*         A full driving licence is required;

*         Capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

 

Desirable:

 

*         Maths based or Law based degree;

*         Experience working in the construction industry;

*         Can demonstrate strong commercial acumen;

*         Keen interest in development;

*         Ideally University graduate but not essential;

*         Good comprehension of IT including Excel and word.
